Week 2 - MBA 6101 Post 2 - AI and Drones

 

The author talks about drones in chapter 2 of "Surfing the Tsunami" by Todd Kelsey. Drones are another way in which artificial intelligence is making an impact. We have electronics themselves continuing to upgrade what they are able to do. With drones, they can fly, record, and take pictures as they are flying at a high speed. Drones are controlled by a human pilot just like an airplane and vehicles.

Another interesting factor that Kelsey mentions in Chapter 2 is how advanced drones can be, one can view it in first person view, and through a computer with a headset. You are able to see what the drone is viewing from the location it is currently flying at. Drones can also fly on their own as many have autopilot as well and ca n return when they notice their battery is running low or might be out of range. 

Drones equipped with thermal cameras and other sensors are used in search and rescue missions. They can cover vast areas more quickly than ground teams and provide real-time visuals to locate missing persons or assist in disaster relief efforts. Many individuals use drones for recreational purposes, such as aerial photography, racing, and exploration. Hobbyist drones provide an enjoyable way to capture unique perspectives and experience flying. Nowadays, even Youtubers use drones to come up with their intro to their videos or simply record a YouTube video. Overall, it is an advanced tool that can be used for many actions.

Week 2 - MBA 6101 - Post 1 - Facebook Changes to Meta

 

As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Facebook announced its plans to rebrand the company to Meta Platforms Inc. on October 28, 2021. The rebranding aimed to reflect the company's expanded focus beyond its core social media platform, encompassing a broader vision centered around the metaverse. A virtual shared space that blends physical and digital realities.

Here are some key points about Facebook's transition to Meta:

Name Change and Rebranding: The parent company, previously known as Facebook Inc., changed its name to Meta Platforms Inc. This rebranding reflected a strategic shift in the company's direction and emphasized its commitment to building the metaverse.

Metaverse Vision: The term "metaverse" refers to a virtual universe where people can interact, work, and play using augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and other immersive technologies. Facebook's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, announced that the company's future focus would revolve around building the metaverse and enabling social and interactive experiences within it.

Diversification of Offerings: Alongside the rebranding, Meta aims to expand beyond its social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. The company plans to invest heavily in developing technologies and products related to the metaverse, including VR hardware, software platforms, creator tools, and augmented reality applications.

Research and Development: Meta's commitment to the metaverse involves significant investment in research and development efforts. The company aims to collaborate with external partners, developers, and creators to advance the technology and infrastructure needed for a more immersive and interconnected virtual world.

Week 1 - MBA 6101 - Post 2 - What is Synthesia?

 I just discovered what Synthesia is. If someone told me a few years ago that we will have an AI tool that can deliver an audio video on whatever topic I want as a real live person speaking whatever I instruct it to say so I would have just laughed about it. Synthesia AI is revolutionizing the way videos are created by enabling the generation of virtual presenters that mimic human-like speech and gestures. Using deep learning algorithms, Synthesia AI analyzes voice recordings and combines them with pre-recorded video footage of virtual presenters, seamlessly syncing the audio and visual elements to create compelling, professional-looking videos.

Above you can see the image on what it looks like to visit www.synthesia.io. This site offers many customized avatars you can pick from to create your video. This tool can save you hundreds of dollars from paying other advertisement companies you might look into. Can you imagine how much time you can also save versus sitting with an actual person and going over what you want them to say for you? In this case, you will receive a video via email on what you instructed the video to say for you.

Week 1 - MBA 6101 - Chat GPT & Logomaster.ai

For the last couple of months, I've had in mind to create my very own consulting business. However, I was not sure where to get started. First, I purchased a legal name for my company and made it an official business owning my own Employer Identification Number (EIN). I've thought to myself where do I get started? As I still need to educate myself on what I need in order to launch a successful consulting business, I went ahead and visited https://chat.openai.com/. It is ChatGPT, which is known as a game changer when it comes to generating ideas in certain categories. I then asked what do I need to start a consulting business? Within seconds, this AI chat generated over 7 tips on what I needed to do. "Expertise and Skills: Determine your area of expertise and identify the specific consulting services you will offer, make sure you have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide valuable advice to clients".  This was one that caught my attention and was the first tip it gave me. I now know to focus on what is it is that I've mastered and want to help businesses elevate to the next level. 

All businesses need a logo. I am not the best when it comes to Photoshop like my brother is. Luckily for me, there is a website called logomaster.ai. If you want to develop your logo or help your company's website with a new logo, then this is the place to visit. I have to admit, this was very impressive to me, the benefits of utilizing this website are amazing. Right off the back, I am able to save tons of money by avoiding paying someone to create my logo, and I am able to save some time by finding an affordable rate. This website generated over 20 logos for me to pick from, not only that but I was able to have it designed however I wanted within seconds.

This logo caught my attention. It also includes a slogan. However, I felt that it needed something else to make it stronger. 

 

This AI tool gave me the ability to edit the logo with my own creativity. I wanted something with an arrow rising as the name of the company I purchased is called Illumine Council LTD. With very little knowledge of this tool, I was able to figure out within seconds how to make some changes to the logo. I made both the slogan and arrow green. When I see the color green, it reminds me of cash, I want businesses to feel the same way when viewing this logo. 

Overall, using these two AI tools has helped me create a vision of how powerful these AI tools can be. It is up to us to educate and build the knowledge needed to launch a business.
